Description
Ca. 1940s Reuter(?) Pipe Organ8' Doppel Flute Bass in Sugar Pine
12 consecutive pipes
4" Wind Pressure
This is a 12 note 8' Doppel Flute bass octave in very good condition, probably made in the 1940s. Being a Doppel Flute bass it is a fairly large scale in order to balance with the rest of the rank. The low cutup provides the rank with a sweet but powerful tone, ideal for a Solo division or as a solo stop on the Great division. Not certain of the manufacturer of this rank, it shows characteristics of possibly being Reuter. The leather stopper gaskets appear to have been renewed at some point and would benefit by a tallow treatment. Voiced on 4" wind pressure. The rest of this rank from 4'C upward is available in a separate listing as of the beginning of this auction. They are offered separately due to the cost of shipping.
PLEASE NOTE:
Shipping costs are estimated, as local pickup (and possibly delivery) is an option, and the pipes have not yet been crated so the weight is only an estimate.
