This is a very old coin silver mug or cup made by W. Carrington of Charleston, SC, circa 1830
This is a beautiful and historical old drinking vessel
We date it somewhere in the late 1800's
This cup is very old and has been banged around a bit.
The dents seem to be confined one side of the cup and the underside is a little dinged up too

The cup is engraved
It is 3 1/8" tall and 3" in diameter at the base
It weighs 3.7 troy ounces
