SYNC 2 SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR ford/lincoln MYTOUCH SYSTEM full version 3.10 UPGRADE! this is newest and latest as of today and now available for you to do on your own at home doesn't matter if you have a nav or non-nav unit, its the same update for both.  They stopped posting updates after 3.08 due to download problems from the sync website and people doing it wrong and causing problems that later required dealership visits due to bad installation or missing navigation (on navigation enabled units only,
if you do not already have nav enabled you will not get it by doing this update
, there is a different update/upgrade you need for that, email us if that is what you want instead).
If you have the original 4.XX 4.29, 4.30, 4.31, 4.32 software or other older 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, or 3.8 software and are having issues with your system, issues with phone connecting disconnecting from sync, lack traffic support, or just want to update your maps to newer, you will NEED this upgrade for those bugs to be fixed or for the newer map sd cards to work, and for you to have a chance at getting traffic, weather and other sirius feeds, some vehicles require subscription to sirius for full functionality.   So if you bought a newer map sd card (
A6, A7, A8, A9, A10, A11, B6, B8, B9, B10, B11) and it doesn't work, or you are having issues with your system you will need to do this update.
This is for an actual usb drive mailed to you (files are less then 1gb) usb stick will be random size brand etc, this is only for sync 2 systems version 3.10 update only mailed out to you, maps on sd cards are sold separately and are NOT included with this listing
, you can later erase the usb stick and use it for something else, or you can keep the files for additional use on other sync 2 cars, and use the rest of the space on the usb stick for other files such as music etc

Just plug it in usb port and click ok to install and wait.  Updating takes anywhere form 30 minutes to several hours, depending on your model, you need to have patience and time set aside to install, this is intended for personal use only and not for commercial use, if you intend to use this for a commercial purpose contact us first.  Make sure car has engine running outdoors OR you have a newer fully charged battery before you start, or are using a bttery charger during installation.  Good idea to keep radio, lights, and HVAC turned off during update process, thank you.

To check your software level go to settings (sprocket or gear button in the middle of lower portion of screen next to home button), then go to help in the lower right hand corner, then system info up top, and you will see things like your vin number, sync version and current map card version.
