Description

You are bidding on a new replacement power cord for use with many Tandberg 3000-series components, as well as numerous other vintage audio components.
This is a heavy duty 2-prong power cord that fits the recessed power sockets on these older components. It's marked as 8 feet long (there are also 6' ones so if you're comparing keep an eye out for that) and 18 AWG construction which is great for higher performance. It has a non-polarized NEMA plug at the wall end, making it compatible with rear panel AC outlets on vintage receivers, integrated amps, and preamps. It also makes it very easy to flip the cord over to resolve hum issues as sometimes happens.
I go through a lot of these cables because I collect and restore Tandberg components that use them. I've had such good results from them I decided to offer them as a separate item in this listing.
This is an alternate part to the ones I normally sell, but looks just as good as the other cables do.
Buy from an experienced seller that actually knows his product firsthand, not just the typical reseller selling a commodity.

I am not a full-time eBay merchant, but an experienced vintage audio enthusiast. I put many hours into supporting my customers and listings on eBay but am fitting all of that around a very heavy full-time work schedule. This may occasionally cause me to miss a 3 or 5 day shipping time estimate by a day or so but I always do my best to ship within the guidelines posted in my listings.
I normally
ship once a week on Saturdays
, but will always attempt to ship sooner if your payment is received any time between late Saturday and mid-week.
In the case of larger items shipped overseas, USPS Priority is currently the lowest cost service available. DHL & UPS are much, much higher. I will use First Class Mail International where possible but it has a weight cut-off of 4 lbs. There is no longer a surface shipment option, as USPS eliminated Surface Parcel Post last year.
I use recycled packaging materials when I can, because I believe it is the environmentally sound thing to do.
I also use new USPS Priority & other packaging materials to supplement the recycled materials where appropriate.
I’m always very careful to make sure the item being shipped is properly protected regardless of the type of packing materials used.
I am taking the time to explain all this because eBay in their infinite wisdom has raised their fees to sellers, and the
only
way to mitigate that is with near-perfect feedback so they will provide a small discount on fees. I cannot afford to offer these great vintage audio items at the prices I typically do and end up paying higher fees because a buyer decided they paid too much shipping on one of my items.
Please note that 4 star ratings while seemingly above average do not qualify me as an excellent seller by eBay's standards.
