    Description

1910 posted postcard for "Taxes Assessed, Watch Hill, R. I.".
Watch Hill is an upper class community in the southwestern section of Westerly, RI.
The tax collector for Watch Hill, George N. Burdick, sent this card to Bradford S? in Covington, KY, who was assessed 7.50 with a .90 deduction for a total tax of 9.60. The card was sent on December 16, 1910 and returned and marked paid by December 27, 1910. Written on the back of the card is a breakdown of the taxes assessed; 6.40 for a hotel and .20 for a cottage. I wish I could make out the name of the recipient of the card. Then maybe it would be possible to find out which hotel in Watch Hill he had ownership in.
The condition of the postcard is described above.
